چکیده
Platonia insignis fruit, popularly known as bacuri, is traditionally used in folk medicine for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Therefore, this study determined the chemical composition biological activities of bacuri’s shell seeds extracts, considered residues from consumption industrial uses. Four biflavonoids (GB-2a, GB-1a, morelloflavone, volkensiflavone) were identified extracts by high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detection (HPLC-DAD), chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), chromatography-solid phase extraction-nuclear magnetic resonance (LC-SPE-NMR) techniques. Morelloflavone was main compound ethyl acetate extract, being responsible high vitro (50% effective concentration (EC50) ranging 8.0-10.5 µg mL−1 different protocols), anti-glycant (80%), moderate inhibition nitric oxide (1.56 > 90% cell viability) activities. This extract showed promising vivo activity evaluated through paw edema protocol after incorporation into a liquid-crystalline drug carrier system, reducing up to 31%. The results demonstrated potential fruit development drugs natural origin corroborated add economic value these discarded residues.

متن کاملBioactive compounds from Rumex plants
Two new naphthalene acylglucosides, rumexneposides A (1) and B (2), together with 12 known compounds (3-14), were isolated from the roots of Rumex nepalensis. Their structures were established by chemical and spectroscopic methods. The biological activities of compounds 1-14 as well as an additional 11 compounds previously isolated from R. nepalensis and Rumex hastatus (15–25) were evaluated ag...

Plant in vitro cultures represent an attractive and cost-effective alternative to classical approaches to plant secondary metabolite (PSM) production (the "Plant Cell Factory" concept). Among other advantages, they constitute the only sustainable and eco-friendly system to obtain complex chemical structures biosynthesized by rare or endangered plant species that resist domestication. For succes...
